Project Venture Philanthropy: A Grand Social Experiment
When the American Dream Became an American Prayer
HYPERSTITIOUS
AUSPICIOUS
CONSCIOUS EVOLUTION
SOCIAL MAGICK
The movie will begin in five moments
The mindless voice announced
All those unseated will await the next show
We filed slowly, languidly into the hall
The auditorium was vast and silent
As we seated and were darkened, the voice continued
The program for this evening is not new
You've seen this entertainment through and through
You've seen your birth your life and death
You might recall all of the rest
Did you have a good world when you died?
Enough to base a movie on?
Songwriter: Jim Morrison
Do you know the warm progress under the stars?
Do you know we exist?
Have you forgotten the keys to the kingdom
Have you been borne yet and are you alive?
Let's reinvent the gods, all the myths of the ages
Celebrate symbols from deep elder forests
Have you forgotten the lessons of the ancient war
We need great golden copulations….
…. O great creator of being grant us one more hour
To perform our art and perfect our lives
The moths and atheists are doubly divine and dying
We live, we die and death not ends it….
….We have assembled inside this ancient and insane theatre
To propagate our lust for life and flee the swarming wisdom of the streets
The barns are stormed, the windows kept and only one of all the rest
To dance and save us with the divine mockery of words
Music inflames temperament
When the true King's murderers are allowed to roam
Free a 1000 Magicians arise in the land
Where are the feasts we are promised
Where is the wine The New Wine
Dying on the vine

The term "hyperstition" was coined by the British philosopher Nick Land and the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit (CCRU) in the 1990s. It is a portmanteau of "hyper-" (meaning beyond, excessive, or above) and "superstition" (meaning an irrational belief or practice).
Hyperstition is a concept used to describe a form of collective belief or cultural narrative that has the power to shape reality, even if it is not objectively real or tangible. It suggests that ideas and beliefs can become "real" by being collectively imagined and acted upon, leading to a self-fulfilling prophecy.
In some ways, hyperstition is similar to the concept of a "meme" in that it is a self-replicating idea that spreads through culture and can influence behavior. However, hyperstition tends to have a more overtly mystical or occult connotation, and often involves the creation of mythic or fictional narratives that are believed to have real-world effects.
Overall, hyperstition is a complex and multifaceted concept that has been explored in a variety of philosophical and cultural contexts, and is often associated with contemporary discussions of postmodernism, cyberculture, and the occult.
It’s May 11th, 2023 EST and 2 nights ago my wife found something I hadn’t seen in a very long time, which reminded me of the term hyperstition. We came to visit my folks in NJ after being out of the States for about 5 years.
She found a printed copy of the vision and mission that began for me in 2008 when I was compelled to write the aforementoned screenplay, Einstein’s Last Request. In 2010, before I went on this journey that continues today as I write this, I went to Mindvalley’s inauguaral ‘Awesomeness Fest,’ and crazy me put my screenplay and the following on USB Business Cards.
I don’t think anyone ever saw what was on these cards.
Nonetheless, re-reading these words of mine, these intentions, this mission, this dream… I am proud of myself for putting in the devotion and focus as to this day we move closer to realizing a version of what you will read below, and what has evolved over the years.
There’s a lot more to share about how this all has evolved but for now, I am appreciating the Hyperstitious among us, and celebrating you.
